The G05 2024 X5 offers the 3.0L B58 turbo I-6 (335 hp in xDrive40i), 4.4L N63 twin-turbo V8 (523 hp in xDrive50i), and plug-in hybrid variants. Gasoline models all have cylinder 5.
Cylinder 5 Location
On the B58 inline-six, cylinder 5 is toward the rear. On the V8, cylinder 5 is on one of the banks. Both configurations can experience P0305.
Common Causes
Spark plug wear, ignition coil failure, and carbon buildup on direct-injection engines are common causes. Check for TSBs on newer models.
