2024 5 Series Engine Options
The G60 2024 5 Series offers the 3.0L B58 turbo I-6 (375 hp in 540i) and plug-in hybrid variants. The i5 is fully electric with no combustion cylinders. Only gasoline inline-six models have cylinder 5.
Inline-Six Diagnosis
On the B58, cylinder 5 is toward the rear. As a newer model, manufacturing defects are more likely than wear-related issues. Check for TSBs.
