How Max Recline Works

Common Activation Issues
The most common "malfunction" is attempting to use Max Recline when conditions prevent activation. The vehicle must be in Park. The seatbelt must be unbuckled on that seat (some models). The vehicle may need to be running or in Accessory mode rather than fully off.
Check the door status—some systems require all doors closed. Also verify no objects are in the path of seat movement, as obstruction sensors prevent operation.
